This thesis covers the adsorption of multifunctional molecules on the Ge(100 -2×1 surface using a combination of experimental and theoretical techniques: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and density functional theory calculations.
Overall, the studies in this thesis provide new insight into competition and selectivity in adsorption of multifunctional molecules on the Ge(100 -2×1 surface.
