A review of different options in the specific literature of Data envelopment analysis (DEA) allows us to identify three main approaches: one-stage, two-stage and multi-stage models.
A simulation study demonstrates the appropriateness of the test statistics in designs that violate typical independence assumptions for multi-stage models, under which naive test statistics for failure time data perform poorly, and illustrates the superiority of the test under proportional hazards alternatives to a Mann–Whitney type test.
The age distribution of cancer, and particularly of lung cancer in smokers and non-smokers, led to multi-stage models of carcinogenesis long before altered genes were observed in human cancer (Armitage and Doll, 1954; Doll, 1978).
To fully appreciate the role of different societal levels in healthy ageing, more complex techniques are required like a combination of multi-stage models life table and path analyses.
The importance of this result lies in the fact that unlike earlier studies of multi-stage models in well-mixed populations (Anderson and Watson 1980; Ma and Earn 2006), for the same average duration of the infection period, the final epidemic size is not constant but increasing with the number of stages.
Based on the formal model, multi-stage models consist of low- and medium-temperature thermoelectric modules are proposed.
To account for such dependent censoring, the proposed test statistics utilize an inverse probability of censoring weighted (IPCW) approach previously employed to define estimators for the cumulative hazard and survival function for waiting times in multi-stage models.
This may help explain why for single pathway models, the 4-stage model fits the human colon cancer better than other single pathway multi-stage models ([ 17]).
Subsequently, a multi-stage model for the successive reduction of titanium oxides to titanium is proposed.
To coordinate access of BESS and renewable energy, a multi-stage model is employed in this paper.
Furthermore, the full-scale model is reformulated as a multi-stage model based on Duhamel's theorem to reduce the computational cost.
