I leave it to readers to decide which of them could most aptly be subtitled "A Cool Million" or "A Nest of Gentlefolk," "Lost Illusions" or "Vile Bodies". How much "Remembrance of Things Past" (the building) will do for "Remembrance of Things Past" (the novel) is another matter.
