We quantified differences between bison populations at different locations and spatial scales (American Prairie Reserve, Malta, Montana, USA, and Grasslands National Park, Val Marie, Saskatchewan, Canada, 2010 2011) and bison and cattle at similar locations and spatial scales using behavioral observations, movement analyses, and resource selection functions.
To address this comment and a comment of reviewer 1, we have completed stomatal movement analyses and added figure panels showing ABA-dependent stomatal aperture measurements using the cpk quadruple mutants and impaired Ca2+-induced stomatal closing in snrk2.2/snrk2.3/ost1 triple mutant epidermis.

As described in response to Reviewer 1 (see above), we have performed patch clamp analyses and stomatal movement analyses using slac1 loss-of-function mutants expressing SLAC1 phospho-site mutants.
As requested, we have now completed generation of SLAC1 phosphorylation site mutant lines in the slac1 background in planta and conducted patch clamp and stomatal movement analyses using slac1-1 complinestation linexpressinging SLAC1 WT, S59A, S120A or S59AS120A under the native promoter (new Figures 6G-H and Figure 6 figure supplement 3).
