We previously reported the development of chicken monoclonal antibodies (mAb) against mammalian-conserved molecules by cell fusion and phage display using the mouse mAb expression vector pPDS.
Mouse mAb C7 (IgM), was produced as described elsewhere [11].
Commerical antibodies were used at the dilutions recommended by the manufacturers: anti-flag M2 (mouse mAb; Sigma), anti-GluR4 (rabbit polyclonal IgG; Sigma), anti-GFP (mouse mAb; Sigma), anti-myc (rabbit polyclonal IgG; AbCam), anti-Dynamin (mouse mAb, AbCam).
In parallel, rabbit anti-mouse-protein A beads were incubated with mAb 5A6 (beads-CD81) or an irrelevant control mouse mAb (beads-Cont).
Antibodies used at 1∶1,000: mouse mAb α-HA HA.11 (Covance); mouse mAb α-Dvl1 3F12; Santa Cruz Biotechnology); rabbit polyclonal α-Dvl1 3F12α-Dvl3 (#3216, #3218; Cell Santa CruzTechnology).
Synthetic peptides representing the CDRs of a native Ab (mAb C7), raised against a C. albicans antigen, and also CDRs from mouse mAb pc42, sharing H1 and H2 with mAb C7, and human mAb HuA, sharing no CDR either with mAb C7 or mAb pc42, showed in vitro, ex vivo and/or in vivo differential antimicrobial, antiviral and/or antitumor activities.
Fibrillarin mouse MAb was purchased from Santa Cruz.
β-actin mouse mAb was from MP Biologicals.
Hsp70 mouse mAb (1 1000) and Hsp90 rat mAb (1 5000) were from Stressgen.
As all mAbs were of IgG2a isotype, mouse mAb IgG2a served as an isotype-specific control.
