The cfl1 in zebrafish, human, and mouse are located on chromosomes 14, 11, and 9, respectively.
For example, the MHC regions of human, dog, cow, pig, and mouse are located in chromosomes 6, 12, 23, 7, and 17, respectively, but their corresponding MAPRE1 genes are found on chromosomes 20, 1, 13, 17, and 2. This suggests that the giant panda's MAPRE1 ψ pseudogene has been transposed from another chromosome to the chromosome 9q region where the MHC is located [25].
From the available mapping information, MEF-2D in mouse and zebrafish are located on the same chromosomes as the TSP-3 gene (TSP-3a on chromosome 16 in the case of zebrafish), and MEF-2C and MEF-2B in the mouse are located on the same chromosomes as TSP-4 and TSP-5, respectively.

Because the orthologous imprinted locus in the mouse is located on chromosome 7 and Sdhd on chromosome 9, this mechanism is unlikely in the mouse.
However, in both human and mouse an L1MB element (L1MB8 in human and L1MB7 in mouse) was located approximately 10 to 15 Kb upstream of the KCNQ1OT1 transcription start site.
The proteasome subunit C5 gene (Psmb1) is syntenic with these two genes in the mouse, being located head-to-head with Tbp, and in all vertebrates investigated thus far [ 3].

Thus, our data suggest that the immunodominant T cell epitopes for C57BL/6 and SJL/J mice are located in the same 13 amino acid sequence, p23-35, altheugh the fine specificities are not identical.
The Kl gene in humans and mice are located in chromosome 13 (13 q12) and exhibits high homology (83%) [ 16].
