In the sleep behavior disorder group, 13 patients had idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder and 7 patients had Parkinson disease, with a mild to moderate motor disability (Hoehn and Yahr score between I and III) [22], which did not impact their daily activities, and no dementia Mini-Mental State Examinationn score higher than 23) [23].
Second, the core cerebral white matter involvement, mainly involving the corticospinal tracts, is linked more strongly to clinical upper motor neuron involvement rather than disability score as measured by the ALSFRS-R.
Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that both gastroenteritis, cranio-bulbar affection, need for mechanical ventilation (MV), disability score >4, and absent motor and sensory responses were significantly associated with high serum CRP level >6mg/dl.
The results of this study support the hypothesis that in GBS patients, gastroenteritis, craniobulbar affection, need for MV, disability score >4, and absent motor and sensory nerve responses were significantly related to high serum CRP level.

Against this background, considering that the definition of BMS relies on EDSS scoring, which is mainly determined by motor disability, the comparison of CST-related measures between BMS and the other phenotypes is of particular interest.
