The gp120 of all HIV-1 isolates have a similar motif, which includes the C-terminal part of a variable loop 3 (V3) and N-terminal part of a conserved region 3 (C3).
Interestingly, AmNrxI-B contains a short C-terminal VKTGVC sequence (exon 28) that encodes a conserved PDZ binding motif which includes diagnostic hydrophobic residues adjacent to the final cysteine [71], [72].
Like most of the members of the patatin-like phospholipase family protein family (Wilson et al., 2006), PNPLA6 contains a GXSXG motif, which includes a nucleophilic serine essential to its catalytic domain.
