The most prevalent serotypes in infected pigs are, in decreasing order of prevalence, serotypes 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8 (Table 1).
Adenovirus type 3 (HAdV3) is one of the most prevalent serotypes detected globally.

Serotype O157 H7 of EHEC is by far the most prevalent serotype associated with haemorrhagic colitis (HC) and haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS).
