A large majority (87.9%) of respondents (more women (89.7%) than men (83.9%), P <0.001) considered there to be sufficient justification for requiring a theoretical-practical experience in FM, based on the fact that FM constitutes the majority of medical attention (92.2%), a core part of the health care system (88.3%), and the most prevalent professional option (76.6%).
