The most dominant repeat motif overall is AC/GT with a frequency of 15.15% (152 of 1,003) in ssp.
In contrast, di-nucleotides were the most common repeats in the genomic sequences of the four species and AT/AT was the most dominant repeat.

For the extreme outlier in respect to repeat type usage, O. lucimarinus, we found that the most dominant repeats have a high CG content, which correlates with the high CG content of the complete genome.
