Trinucleotide microsatellites (n = 15) were the most common loci detected among the 18 microsatellite motifs (Table 2).
Several loci were identified in association with tested environment or landscape variables, but precipitation and temperature proved to be the most common (# loci) and strongest factors in non-neutral population differentiation that spanned both lineages (e.g., at SNP Omy_stat3-273, Omy_OmyP9-180).
The second most common amplification locus was chr17 q21.2 (36109939-36230163) which was amplified in 3 patients.
Most common deleted locus was located in 1p22.1, where we found 480 Kbp minimal deleted region (MDR), which occurred in 32.9% of cases (30/91) and included 5 genes (HSP90B3P, TGFER3, BRDT, EPHAX4, and BTBD8).
Comparative genomic fingerprinting (CGF), which examines the presence or absence of the most common variable loci within the genome, has recently been used with 23 loci to analyze 79 O157 H7 strains, and to group them into lineages and epidemiologically and phenotypically related clusters [ 13].
Together with posterior cingulate and midlateral temporal areas, these were the most common activation loci.
The most common SSR loci are homopolymers (repeated single nucleotide), dimers (repeated nucleotide pair), and trimers (repeated nucleotide triplet).
While nonsignificant trends suggested slightly fewer oncogene amplifications within the older cohort, overall amplification frequencies for the most common oncogene loci were as follows: MYC (8q24.2; 27%), CCND1 (11q13.3; 23%), ZNF217 (20q32; 17%), AIB1 (20q13.12; 16%), MDM2 (12q15; 8%), ESR1 (6q25; 7%), ERBB2 (17q12; 7%), and TOPO2A (17q21; 7%).
Similarly, the most common HLA-B locus antigens were B60, B46, and B58.
