However, until now, no efforts have been made to simultaneously evaluate the aeration and agitation rate in relation to the proper mycelial morphology for increasing the biomass yield of the filamentous fungus M. alpina.
The structure and SEM images of the G/Z system are shown in Fig. 1a, b. Figure 1a, b depicts a morphology consisting of traces of residual glass, glass-coated zirconia grains, and intergranular voids, which created a surface morphology ideal for increasing the core-veneer bond strength.
