It can be debated whether correlation of the early changes in proliferation measured by changes in FLT uptake with a RECIST assessment of tumour shrinkage or a CT morphologic response is best.
As in the present case, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment carefully when the number of tumors increases during bevacizumab-containing chemotherapy and the optimal morphologic response is identified.
Morphologic response was found in 378 patients (34.1%) and stable disease (SD) in 58 patients (5.2%).
