No significant difference was found between stigma height of the L-styled morph and anther height of the S-styled morph (Figure 4).
In P. cephalophora, although stigma height of the S-styled morph is significantly lower than anther height of the L-styled morph (Figure 4), the difference was only 0.6 mm (Table 1).
In the S-styled morph the papillae are longer and less crowded than in the L-styled morph (Figure 5). Figure 3 Scatter diagram showing the relationship between stigma and anther heights of Psychotria cephalophora in the Tienchi population.
Acanthemblemaria aspera (Longley, 1927)—roughhead blenny; USNM, I; Figures 154, 155, 156 Three different color patterns were observed at Saba Bank: juvenile/female (Figure 154), adult male (Figure 155), and a distinctive yellow, probably female, color morph (Figure 156).
No significant differences in mean body weight were observed for either males or females from the Myo-CELFΔ-370 line when compared to sex-matched wild type littermates over a sixteen-week time course, suggesting that there are no gross changes in overall muscle mass or body morph (Figure S1).

The Metacoronympha-morph was larger, and the distinctive multiple spirals of nuclei were clearly observed and contrasted with the single ring of karyomastigonts in the Coronympha-morph (Figure 1I & K).
No other genes involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis had significant petal expression differences between color morphs (Figure 5; Table 3).
However, the longitudinal and horizontal morphs differed in the degree of crypsis against different backgrounds: longitudinal morphs exhibited a higher degree of crypsis against a grass background than did horizontal morphs (Figure 2-a), and horizontal morphs had a much greater degree of crypsis against a sand background than did longitudinal morphs (Figure 2-b).
The file (see supplementary Figure S6) can vary in length (Figures 4 and 5.a), maximal and quartile widths (Figure 4), medial and distal inter-ridge distances (Figure 6) and number of ridges between morphs (Figure 5.b).
By limiting our frequency of interest to 50 150 Hz (high-gamma band) we found that the high-gamma response was enhanced by the appearance of static faces, but not by static full-contrast checkerboard patterns (t = 0.1 1 sec), and that it was disproportionately enhanced by fearful (Figure S1H, blue) rather than happy morphs (Figure S1H, red; recorded in channel 75 during the window 1.2
This result is due to the smaller inter-ridge distances presented by PVE Morph 1 (Figure 6), but also to the smaller number of ridges that are rubbed during stridulatory movements (Table 2).
