To assay the response to canonical Wnt ligands in a more uniform population of cells, we generated primary mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) derived from wild-type and mutant embryos and assayed their response to a canonical Wnt ligand.
What is important from the standpoint of human exposure is that, unlike vehicular emissions, which by nature have a strong local character whereby concentration decreases rapidly with increasing distance from their source, secondary formation of UFPs is more regional in nature, which implies a more uniform population exposure to UFPs generated by this mechanism.
Some of these difficulties can be alleviated with techniques such as laser-capture micro-dissection (Fend and Raffeld 2000), which can isolate regions of a sample that contain a more uniform population of cells, but these techniques remain costly and slow.
Moreover, because a greater percentage of the parental genome is transferred intact following FDR than SDR, FDR produces a more uniform population of 2n gametes and thus a lower range of variation between individuals is expected in populations derived from FDR [ 57].
Single-cell analysis of paired diagnostic and relapsed samples from two patients demonstrated that the homozygous FLT3/ITD genotype became the dominant genotype at relapse (Table 1), indicating a clonal evolution to a more uniform population of leukemic blasts harboring CN-LOH13q upon relapse.

This reduced diversity in strain-specific sequences may be attributed to a change in population structure during the attenuation process, resulting in a simplified or more uniform attenuated population.
PBMCs with a more uniform cell population, containing lymphocytes and monocytes are the most transcriptionally active cells in blood [5] making it an ideal study specimen.
These criteria will have ensured a more uniform study population and together with the additional environmental interventions made may have inflated the relative effect reported here.
PBMCs have a more uniform cell population, containing lymphocytes and monocytes but excluding red blood cells and granulocytes (eosinophils, basophils, neutrophils), and are the most transcriptionally active cells in blood (DePrimo et al. 2003).
Ana-1 cells adopted a more uniform round-shaped population (Figure 2a,b).
As the tumor stroma in desmoplastic reactions is composed of a more uniform and nontransformed population of cells, it provides an interesting therapeutic target.
