More recently, seed zones have been delineated using a genecological approach for several nontree native plants used in restoration, including Elymus glaucus (Erickson et al. 2004; Kitzmiller 2009), Bromus carinatus (Kitzmiller 2009; Johnson et al. 2010a, b), Bromus orcuttianus (Kitzmiller 2009), Festuca roemeri (Wilson et al. 2008), and Holodiscus discolor (Horning et al. 2010).
We've also seen how the Green Revolution- which sought to feed the world through the spread of monoculture and, more recently, GMO seeds- has not only been a catastrophic failure but also a way of assuming the real green of the earth for monetary gain.
More recently, extensive studies of seed morphology [ 5], seedling morphology [ 16], floral development [ 17- 20], chromosome cytology [ 21, 22], as well as stem and leaf anatomy [ 23] have been used to clarify taxonomy (Table 1).
More recently, the use of seeds to make more monodisperse metal nanoparticles along with various morphologies has been reported by various authors.
But, more recently, some had come around.
More recently, Guatemalans have come seeking land.
A second invasion, seeding the more recently colonized caves, then likely spread northward ~1.8 – 3.0 MYa (average = 2.1MYa; Figure 1E).
More recently, it was shown that seeding aggregation of endogenous TDP-43 with a multimer repeat of its hnRNPA1/A2 binding region was sufficient to induce its aggregation and aberrant phosphorylation in the cytoplasm of cultured cells (Budini et al. 2012), but no evidence was found for toxicity from such aggregations.
Angels, super angels, celebrity investors, institutional seed funds, and more recently top-tier venture firms got in the game.
The inkjet printing method opened a new research area in the direct nanomaterial manipulation on the predetermined locations with a controlled morphology and a specific location of nanoparticles [4 6] and nanowires [7, 8], and more recently, direct local nanowire growth by seed nanoparticle inkjet printing has been demonstrated by Ko et al. [9].
However, later studies suggested a less stringent requirement for base pairing [ 89, 90], and more recently evidence for a 7-nt seed sequence in E. coli CRISPRs [ 91] was presented, reminiscent of microRNA seeds [ 92].
