Whilst additional Wnt and other knockout studies, either conventional or conditional, might provide new clues to extend our data into a yet more complete genetic pathway, the rate of nephron formation makes this a particularly challenging process.
This tool is currently being applied in a routine clinical setting in the context of a phase 3 clinical trial, and the BDC tool developed in this work could be applied with this to provide a more complete diagnostic pathway in routine clinical practice.
