Two patterns of cognitive problems in HF are recognised: a chronic, progressive decline in cognitive ability and a more acute change in cognition often in association with decompensated disease.
Further, inclusion of more than a single sampling timepoint after initiation of treatment would also likely be informative in future studies, and presumably provide a window to more acute physiological changes triggered by drug exposure.
Importantly, adaptation of muscle to training confers health benefits much more than the acute changes following a single bout of exercise.
This analysis, however, would be complicated by the long time lags inherent in serology data of a long-lived host and, unlike more acute infections, temporal changes in brucellosis seroprevalence are relatively slow (Fig. S5).
