Indeed, in PP subjects, more activation was seen in the left posterior insula, whereas EDP subjects had greater engagement in the left precuneus and mPFC.
The key findings of this study in relation to our hypothesis is that, as predicted, L-Dopa medication restored the function of the motor cortico-striatal loop, during the execution of a set-shift since significantly more activation was found in the PMC during the ON vs. the OFF state when matching after negative feedback was compared with control matching (Figure 5).
