This is the first report of an association between child behavioral problems and two complementary measures specific to prenatal PAH exposure: prenatally monitored air concentrations of PAH and a PAH-specific biomarker of exposure (BaP DNA adducts) in cord blood.
In another letter to the E.P.A. last week, they recommended that the agency provide resources, including a team in town five days a week and mobile laboratories to monitor air quality and chemical concentrations, as well as other measures.
