Proteins were then eluted from the heparin-agarose column using a step gradient of NaCl in buffer A. Protein fractions were pooled according to their molecular weight pattern of SDS-PAGE separation and concentrated using AMICON concentrator centrifugal devices with molecular weight cutoff of 10,000 kDa.
The chymotrypsin bands, which were identified as CT802, showed a different molecular weight pattern in the two homogenates (Fig. 3).
