GO classification showed the major classes in molecular function comprised of binding, catalytic activity and nucleotide binding.
Of the three core GO annotation categories, biological processes (BP) comprised 53.6%% of the total assigned annotations, whereas cellular components (CC) and molecular functions (MF) comprised 23.3 % and 23.1 %, respectively.
Among the 17,076 sequences, the molecular function ontology comprised the majority of GO assignments (83%), followed by biological processes (79%) and cellular components (74%).
