As irrigation frequency declined, we noted that soil moisture declined by 42%, and above ground plant biomass also declined by 45%, (Table 1).
Water vapor in NW is mainly transported zonally during both winter and summer, with a significant enhancement of input moisture and decline of output moisture, which contributes to the increase of flood events and the decrease of drought events in this region.
The results show that the saturated moisture content declines with increasing concrete strength grades and also declines with increasing area volume ratios.
Temperatures and potential evapotranspiration have increased in the region in recent decades, and soil moisture has declined [47, 48].
The decrease in respiration rate of log sections stored in dry air twenty four weeks after harvest was associated with moisture content declining to less than 30%% (Fig. 4b).
Due to an exploitive land use history, the study area's cultivated and grazing land has been degraded as characterized by: low fertility, gully and rills formation, moisture stress, declining productivity, etc.
In contrast, one month later when maple seedlings were establishing, soil moisture was declining relative to earlier in the season, soil temperature was increasing, and the plant community cover was increasing.
Increased temperature in combination with reduced precipitation and thereby increased evaporation will lead to reduced soil moisture and declining groundwater tables.

It then increased gradually to a maximum of 79%% when moisture content had declined to 67%%, 12 d before dispersal, with a subsequent slight decline at dispersal (Fig. 3B).
