Current trend in breeding blanket design is based on the multi module box approach, which has advantages in terms of manufacturing, in reducing the global stress and strain during the start-up and the shut-down phases and during operation, because the favourable thermal expansions; and in simplifying the First Wall layout and integration.
Taking this into consideration, Toettcher et al. combined a Phy-PIF module (Box 1) (Levskaya et al., 2009) with the catalytic segment of SOS and engineered a red light-tunable ERK activation system, termed Opto-SOS (Toettcher et al., 2013), which consists of a PIF-SOS fusion (tagged with YFP) and membrane-localized PhyB (PhyB-mCherry-CAAX) (Fig. 3C).
The media center box uses the network to distribute content to other places in the house equipped with module boxes, and connect back to the original box.

Polo-like kinases (PLKs) are marked by C-terminal polo box modules with critical protein interaction and subcellular targeting roles.
In the decryption operation, an ISBOX (inverse substitution box) module is used instead.
The assembled device (Fig. 2B E) with acrylic supporting frames was coupled to a load resistor circuit board and a digital multimeter through a computer controlled switch box module and a data acquisition system (Fig. 2F).
A switch box module having an integrated digital multimeter PXI-25755, PXI-4065, NAustinl InsTXuments, andtin, TX) and controlled through LabView™ (National Instruments, Austin, TX) was used to continuously measure voltages across the 24 load resistors that were connected individually to the 24 MFC array.
