Paupar binding sites are enriched near promoters and can function as transcriptional regulatory elements whose activity is modulated by Paupar transcript levels.
We show that Paupar associates with approximately 2800 sites in the genome and, where tested, these regions operate as transcriptional regulatory elements whose activity can be modulated by Paupar transcript levels.
This suggests that the expression of USP25 may be modulated by antisense transcript.
As also mentioned earlier, KCNC4/Kv3.4 currents are modulated by KCNS/Kv9 subunits, transcripts of which are highly expressed in VMN (Table 4), when coassembled in heteromeric channels [ 72, 73].
We then found 36 potential interactions, among 16 proteins coded by transcripts modulated by OPNc-overexpression.

At the other end of the spectrum, 4 mRNA transcripts associated with Microtubule Cytoskeleton Organization (GO 0000226) (KIF2C, MAP2, MAP1B and UBE2B), are inversely modulated by 10 miRNAs and each transcript is targeted by 2−3 miRNAs, suggesting that miRNA-mediated degradation of these transcripts results in rapid changes in transcript levels.
To explore intermediate networks between Comt and the classic phenotypes listed above, we extracted transcripts modulated by Comt in four brain regions (Fig. 7, Table S3).
These included acute-phase reactants (APRs) (Saa3, Lcn2 and Serpina3n), genes with GR-mediated repression on LPS induction (Gem, Cd83 and Tnfsf9) and other transcripts modulated by GR signaling.
