Patients were diagnosed as having minimal, moderate or advanced pulmonary tuberculosis using a modified classification of the National Tuberculosis Association of the USA based on extent of lung tissue involvement [44], [45].
All patients were classified as having minimal, moderate or advanced PTB using a modified classification of the NTA [ 16, 17].
We recently introduced and characterized four classes based on BD representing a modified classification of hypovolemic shock [ 7].

According to a modified classification of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease GOLDD), patients were classified as having normal spirometric values (FEV1/FVC ≥70%%, FVC ≥80%%), obstructive lung dysfunction (FEV1/FVC <70%%) and restrictive lung dysfunction (FVC <80%% predicted, FEV1/FVC ≥70%%) [ 24].
Patients with RA in the clinical trials should be up to the standard as follows: (1) those who meet the diagnosis standard and modified classification of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR, 1987) [ 16] and (2) those who are beyond 18 years old.
