It has been reasoned that if a behavioural response was modifiable under different circumstances, then it was not a reflex.
Payments on account of business interests are deemed property, and are, therefore, fixed unlike support payments, which are generally modifiable upon a showing of a substantial change in circumstances of either the payor or the payee.
