These are modest but significant changes, all the more significant when you consider these terms came into practice from a deliberate drive to address outdated stereotypes.
We have also knocked down zebrafish Nkd1 and Nkd2 and observed modest, but significant, changes in Wnt signaling [9], and overexpression of Nkd, Nkd1 or Nkd2 by itself does not have a dramatic or consistent phenotype in wild-type embryos [9], [51].
