After producing putative plastome assemblies, reads were mapped (read sets prior to reduction by Kmernator) on them in order to verify their quality, using CLC Assembly Cell 4.2 (www.clcbio.com) requiring 80% of the read to align with at least 98% identity, in a mode of mapping to circular sequences (–lengthfraction 0.8 –similarity 0.98 -z).
All three modes of cyberspace mapping create innovative forms of representation and have expanded the frontiers of cartography in terms of what is mappable and how users interact with maps.
