Experimental work by John Samson (Samson et al., 1971) made resonant mode coupling the current paradigm of planetary magnetospheric ULF-wave research.
Values of some anharmonic constants, responsible for the triple and quadruple modes coupling with the shared proton stretching vibrations were obtained.
The transmission modes, coupling lengths for the two orthogonal polarizations and performance of the proposed polarization splitter are investigated and numerically analyzed.
