"moderately depressed" is a correct and usable phrase in written English.
It can be used in a sentence to describe a person's level of depression. For example: He was feeling moderately depressed after the loss of his job. In this sentence, "moderately depressed" means that the person is experiencing some level of depression, but it is not severe or extreme. Another example: The study showed that patients who were only moderately depressed responded well to therapy. In this sentence, "moderately depressed" means that the patients' level of depression was not too high, but they still needed treatment.
The scores fall into the following four ranges: 20 44 normal; 45 59 mildly depressed; 60 69 moderately depressed; and 70 and above severely depressed.
