In Stipa's study a higher percentage of patients reported post-operative pain of medium-moderate grade in the ORHM group compared with the ORHT group; similarly, a higher percentage of patients reported post-operative pain of moderate-severe grade in the ORHT group compared with the ORHM group [ 33].
The results show that i). the method of continuous telemetric monitoring of physiological parameters was able to identify signs of mild to moderate grade pain in mice, which could not be clearly detected otherwise in this species in real-time ii).
Similarly, the HR for moderate (grade 2) neutropenia in comparison with no neutropenia was 0.55 (95% CI, 0.44 0.68; P<0.0001), which represented a 45% lower risk of death, and the HR for severe (grade 3 4) neutropenia in comparison with no neutropenia was 0.62 (95% CI, 0.44 0.85; P=0.0037), which was a 38% lower risk of death.
The most common non-hematologic toxicities were rash (usually grade 1) in 21 patients and fatigue which was mild (grade 1 or 2) in 17 patients and moderate (grade 3 or 4) in 7 patients.
Common treatment-related toxicities, expressed on a per patient basis, are summarized in Table 3. Anemia was the most common hematologic toxicity observed as mild (grade 1 or 2) in 8 patients and moderate (grade 3 or 4) in 1 patient.
Moderate grade fatigue was reported in 14% of patients.
Ostim® 35 showed limited signs of degradation after 1 month but degradation increased over time and was of moderate grade after 3 months in our experimental series.
Rajput et al (2007) found that fusions were less common in low-grade (Gleason 2) prostate cancers (1 of 17; 7%) than in moderate grade (Gleason 3 5) cancers (35 of 86; 41%; P-value for difference=0.02).
Nausea and vomiting occurred in 21 patients (47%), symptoms however, were generally mild or moderate (grade 1, 2 or 3 in 24, 20 or 2%, respectively) and responsive to standard antiemetic therapy.
