The moderate bootstrap values for interior clades suggest that there is abundant sequence polymorphism or introgression among species or subspecies in Zea [16].
Although some grouping of perennial ryegrass populations was observed, these groups were only supported by moderate bootstrap values.
The monophyly of the northern swordtail lineage was supported, albeit only with moderate bootstrap values (73 85), but the phylogenetic positions of X. birchmanni and X. pygmaeus were not consistent among the four different phylogenetic analysis methods.
But the sister group relationship between the platyfish and the southern swordtails was supported by only moderate bootstrap values (51 85) in all phylogenetic estimations (i.e., BI, ML, NJ, MP).
The first sub-cluster separated the northern Turkish population (TU1) with moderate support (bootstrap value 54 %).

This topology was supported in both amino acid and nucleotide reduced datasets (fig. 2 E and F, supplementary fig. S9, Supplementary Material online) with high Bayesian probability (amino acid [aa] dataset: 96%; nucleotide [nt]: 98%) and moderate ML bootstrap values (aa: 73%, nt: 64%).
The population tree reveals two groups (sharp- and blunt-snouted forms) supported by a moderate D AS bootstrap value (73%) and a lower value (56%) for Nei's genetic distance.
Although the latter clade received strong support (> 90% bootstrap value), moderate bootstrap support was observed for the positions of the Coleochaetales, Zygnematales and Klebsormidiales.
