When health professionals were asked to assess the KPS of 75 cancer patients, Yates et al (1980) found moderate agreement (correlation coefficient 0.69) between nurses and social workers.
In turn, the comparison between severe degrees of lung injury (ARDS) and the rest of the conditions showed a moderate agreement [kappa coefficient: 0.4321 ± 0.006 (SE), 95% CI: 0.4204 - 0.4438].
Twelve subjects were tested over four tasks and only the "vertical" x-axis showed a moderate agreement (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient of 0.54) after correction for outliers.
