This model performs better in our case than the other models we tried [36 39].
In this work on cell culture models, we tried to examine the features of effects of AuNPs of the epithelial cells of continuous and oncogenic cell line origin.
Through examination of the WT, MA, ML models, we tried to reveal whether the α-helical propensity is the sole determining factor or if the hydrophobicity affects the stability of the Aβ central helix.
Of the four gap models we tried, only the substitution-based model (GapSub) seems to yield a significant improvement; this may be because the birth-death model which we tried (GapLinks) was actually a single-event approximation to a true birth-death process, and so is under-normalized probabilistically.

As search models, we tried both chain A of Vibrio cholerae DHQS [Protein Data Bank (PDB) entry 3OKF] and chain A of Helicobacter pylori DHQS (PDB entry 3CLH) that were the known structures that a BLAST search of the PDB showed as having sequences most similar to that of ValA (33 and 29% identical, respectively).
