Based on the estimated coefficients and intercepts of model specifications in this review study, the percent of crime explained by a specific percent of place (e.g., 5, 10, and 20%) varies across various geographic units, crime types, and measures of crime (see Appendix 3).

Since the model specifications in the "Core models" section aim to be convenient to forecast mortality for many (developed) populations, we use weakly informative prior distributions to "regularize" the posterior distribution and to keep it roughly within reasonable bounds (Gelman et al. 2014, p. 52).
Estimates of the campus-specific parameters, ϕ0j t and ϕ1j t, for the Baseline Model in (4) and for four Dale-Krueger control model specifications in (5) using pre-Prop 209 (t = PRE) data on minorities are presented in Table 5.
We conducted several sensitivity analyses to assess the impacts of different model specifications in our results.
In all model specifications in table 2, attribute 1 (the probability of obtaining employment) significantly influenced specialty preference.
However, the results for all external causes mortality were not robust to variations in model specifications in further analyses (Supplementary Table 2).
Because of the weighting, the regression now takes place in the pseudo-population and results — under the assumption of no unmeasured confounding and correct model specifications — in a causal estimate of the treatment's effect on the study outcome.
