Log-linear modeling for contingency tables was used to estimate main and interaction (moderator) effects independently.
Exactly the same test can be generated from the standpoint of the log-linear model for contingency tables (Bishop et al., 1975; Goodman, 1970).
In particular, we investigate fractional factorial designs with 2p−q runs, noting correspondences to the models for 2p−q contingency tables.
The methods include those for combining p-values, for analyzing general fixed-effects models, for analyzing contingency tables, and for analyzing count and continuous outcomes.
Before delving into computation of segregation/diversity indices, we would be remiss to not mention a parallel set of developments, such as the log-linear models for analyzing contingency tables, including those between more than two multi-group variables [10].
Thus defined, NUA models are suitable for contingency tables with marginal homogeneities and may not be adapted for contingency tables showing others patterns of marginal distribution.
