Pressure inside the facemask was calculated by (14) for the nonlinear RC model and by (12) for the RIC model with the help of the model parameters shown in Table 1.
When (Figs. 9 c, d)), the radial displacements increase with time, being proportional to in the range of the model parameters shown in the Table 3 (τ p /τ v = 320 1280).
In the range of the model parameters shown in Table 3, τ v and τ d are always smaller than τ p. This condition represents a bubble growth process that proceeds faster than the Poiseuille magma flow.
From each plot, the model parameters shown in Tables 1 and 2 for exponential, hyperbolic and developed models were determined using the procedure shown in Appendix A. Having substituted the obtained parameters shown in Tables 1 and 2 in exponential, hyperbolic and developed models, the production rate decline curves shown in Figs. 4, 56 and 7 were obtained.
First, we examine the basic behaviors of magma ascent and volcanic deformation for the typical model parameters shown in Table 3. Figure 5 shows the spatio-temporal distributions of melt pressure (a), void ratio (b), and volatile concentration in the melt (c), in the conduit.
