Here I briefly review the long-term progress that we have achieved in understanding the spectral evolution of these objects from super-Eddington accretion to near quiescence, based on modeling of X-ray spectra from thousands of RXTE observations of Galactic objects, megasecond Chandra observations of nearby galaxies, and the recent survey of M31 by NuSTAR.
This contribution reviews approaches to the modeling of X-ray emission line profile shapes from single stars, including smooth winds, winds with clumping, optically thin versus thick lines, and the effect of a radius-dependent photoabsorption coefficient.
Theoretical modeling of X-ray scattering from NWs with different deformation profiles are carried out.
Models of X-ray production in black-hole sources are reviewed and compared with recent observations.

This are readily assessable although our ideas of recognition might still be too simplistic, despite the compelling modeling of the X ray derived densities of the decoding RFs loops in a termination complex at the decoding site (Petry et al., Cell 2005).
The monoclinic cell was found on the basis of our model calculations of X-ray scattering on a powder sample of this polyester, documenting that there is a clustering of side chains.
