While temperature measurements have been toward the lower of the range of model projections in recent years, there's been a tremendous body of scientific research investigating the various contributors to the slowdown in global surface warming.
For example, Frigg et al. (2015) urge caution on the over-reliance of model projections in informing decision-making, particularly where model outputs are subject to errors and uncertainties, as these may undermine ability to make robust decisions.
The divergence between reality and model projections in the last two decades provides strong evidence that global warming, although it may become a problem some decades in the future, is not a crisis and is highly unlikely to become a crisis.
We found that the correlation of the radial profiles of different class averages, which were obtained by comparing reference-free classification to model projections in the same orientation, was a useful selection criterion to decrease size heterogeneity.

We divided these species into those for which the climatic envelope model projection indicated an increase in potential geographical range (CLIMEns+) and those with projected decreases in geographical range (CLIMEns−).
Such root characteristics are highly desirable in wheat to cope with the climate model projections, especially in summer rainfall dominant regions including some Australian, Indian, South American and African cropping regions, where winter crops mainly rely on deep stored water.
The unified sphere-imaging model projection process, as shown in Fig. 1, isolates the nonlinear transformation from the projection, substantially simplifying the subsequent analysis and calculation.
It needs to be noted that the model projections analysed in the paper are based on simplifying assumptions and tentative scenarios, and hence should be viewed with caution and not be understood as unconditional forecasts.
