Provided that model parameters specifying the progression rates from stage 1 (r1) and stage 2 (r2) can be estimated, the mean and median durations of both stages, and their confidence intervals, can easily be calculated.
The design of this MIMO 2×2 emulator is very similar to each of the models of Section "FPGA-based MIMO channel emulator built by upgrading our previous SISO vehicular channel emulator", but there are several issues that had to be modified to adapt the model to the parameters specified in [5].
