A remarkably good agreement between model predictions and direct three-phase relative permeability measurements from the literature is observed when model parameters are estimated solely on the basis of two-phase information.
It is important to emphasize that, unlike other models that have been proposed in the literature, the new model requires no fitting parameters, solely depending on the properties of the matrix phase and microstructural information, such as the porosity, the average void shape and orientation, as well as the generally different shape and orientation of their distribution.
Since the model parameters are based almost solely on the path loss measurements performed on the second floor of the Zuiderpoort building, it is important that the measured path loss values are reliable.
