The observed frequency distribution of log(EXT) measurements made while loading a cohort of nematodes and the model output resulting from advancing each nematode in the cohort 10 12 bins according to the estimated transfer probabilities are shown in Figure 1.
The impact on the model coefficients of removing the three most influential data points, as assessed by their Cook's statistic [ 59], was determined to not have a substantial influence on the model outputs (results not shown).
Monthly measured NPP data values plotted against the revised CASA model outputs resulted in an overall R2 of 0.72, mainly due to cropland locations where irrigation and crop rotation were not accounted for by the CASA model.
Using a NPP GPP ratio of 40%% in the tower flux measurements, 1030 monthly data values plotted against the CASA model outputs resulted in an overall R2 of 0.72 (Fig. 4).
We also compared the model output against results from a run of LISFLOOD-FP in which the sub-grid channel parameterization was disabled, finding that the sub-grid parameterization simulated more realistic dynamics.
The degree to which variation in a parameter value will influence model output and results will depend upon the particular parameter, model, intervention and output in question.
