Mechanisms not accounted for in the present model include regulation of MITF [ 10, 27, 28] and upstream co-regulators in the JAK-STAT [ 29] and the SRC-STAT pathways.
We construct a meiotic initiation pathway using an ODE-based model that includes regulation of Ime1, the master regulator, and five other early-meiotic proteins.

While somewhat limited by clinical data availability, these validation efforts confirm that the quantitative representation of critical elements of the model including PCSK9 and LDLc cross-regulation, statin and anti-PCSK9 effects, and interactions between the drugs, are consistent with available clinical data.
These findings demonstrate that Tsc2-deficient adipocytes are insulin resistant and mimic some aspects of insulin resistant adipose tissue from rodent models, including down-regulation of IRS proteins and GLUT-4 and increased expression of GLUT-1.
