Overall, our results show that YDR had moderate discriminatory accuracy in this population, as reflected by the unadjusted c-statistic, although the fit of the model improved substantially with adjustment for age.
Based on the DIC statistic (Table 1), the model fit improved substantially by including individual-level characteristics (Model 2) and then geographic remoteness (Model 3).
By including environmental and biological variables during the model selection process, the fit of the models were improved substantially (bluefin AICc: 1179.2, yellowfin AICc: 5262.7).
