The results of the calculations of the dimensionless displacement structure for the infinite and semi-infinite plate models using the equations derived above are shown in Fig. 5a and b, respectively.
In Fig. 4, we show the data from 12 GPS sites in southeast Hokkaido together with the calculated displacements for the model derived as described above.
Based on the limits of model C derived above, it is clear that model C is able to incorporate the surface attachment kinetics into the overall growth kinetics, as opposed to model B which can only describe diffusion-controlled growth.
In contrast with other MT studies in the Andes mentioned above, the resistivity model derived from this new profile shows a region of high conductivity in the upper crust below the volcanic arc, starting from the modern volcanic front and extending at least 40 50 km to the east.
An Almond model, derived to have an overall structural insight on the above compounds, supported the validity of Volsurf and provided guidelines for the synthesis of new compounds.
