It was concluded that despite the low level of use of UV therapy mainly due to its unavailability, physiotherapists in Northwestern Nigeria perceived the modality as being efficacious.
The use of well-defined and validated functional outcome measures, including quality of life measures and VAS pain scores, are preferable in the evaluation of this treatment modality as is the cost-effectiveness of the technique.
