The procedure, which has been named the consecutive modal pushover (CMP) procedure, utilizes multi-stage and single-stage pushover analyses.
Considering these effects, in this article, the consecutive modal pushover (CMP) procedure is extended to estimate the seismic demands of one-way unsymmetric-plan tall buildings.
The estimated demands are also compared with results from a Modal Pushover Analysis (MPA) procedure.
The modal pushover analysis (MPA) procedure is implemented for the purpose of comparison as well.
Using a number of structural models, the versatility of the proposed DPPA procedure in estimating their seismic demands is demonstrated by comparison of the obtained results with those calculated from nonlinear time history analysis (NL-THA) and other well –known pushover procedures such as the practical modal pushover analysis (PMPA) and the extended-N2 methods.
