Experimental results show that the LU area designed by the heuristic algorithm can adaptively change according to the given mobility pattern and traffic parameters.
The most significant differences are the special mobility pattern and rapid changing topology, so it might not be effective to apply the existing routing protocols from MANETs to VANETs.
Beginning with the description of the network scenario and the experimental test bed where the tests were performed, we will now present a simple theoretical model strictly correlated with the mobility pattern, and able to predict the system performance.
